Good luck with the marathon, Adam. I was in London last week as I've just started my training to be a psychotherapist. Also got the chance to meet Richard Bandler too which was "amazing".

The interesting thing was, after the seminar where I met Richard (and he signed my copy of his book...sorry...but that was fantastic), I didn't feel as stressed about certain things that I expected to feel stressed about. After all, I was starting a new course, meeting new people, travelling to a strange place I didn't know very well, but I just kept thinking: "you just me one of your heroes. What matters now?" Indeed, Richard actually asked me: "does it matter?"

In terms of the whole "let's be a therapist" thing, I have many influences. The main ones are: Richard Bandler, Glenn Harrold, you, Nick Kemp, Joseph Clough, Virginia Satir etc. Now, I've not met all of those people. But they have taught me a heck of a lot. Insight from inspirations.

I remember on one of Richard's recordings (which I kinda "found" on the internet) he talks about telling yourself you're really stressed but doing it in a relaxed tone of voice. I've tried it and it's fun. Messing about with the internal dialogue.

Great blog post as ever and all the best for the marathon.
