My favorite number is also 7, i was born in the 7th month. However, interesting as that must be to you, it is not what I really want to share with you… yesterday at work, a gentleman came into the clinic where I work, I asked him for his name, he said Jones, I then asked him for his christian name, he smiled and said Tom. So, not wanting to make him suffer the comments like “can you sing like him” that he must have become accustomed to and I thought must be utterley fed up with, I just smiled back and said “Ah yes I have you down as Thomas”. It seemed though, that was not the right response after all, he said “yes, years ago my friend and I were stopped by the police on the way home from a night out and when I was asked my name they then asked for identification… next they asked for my friend’s name, he said he was afraid to tell them because they would not believe them, try us they said… Charlie Chaplin he replied”… noooo I said. “Yes it was his real name and they followed him home so he could prove it.” It must have been a watch they remembered! Grin
So did Tom seek out Charlie? and why on earth did their parents choose such names? Huh I called my cat BamBam but that’s different!
