Hi Adam, just found this post and it’s probably even more relevant today in 2014 than 2010.

I’m reminded of a quote in a book from a VERY rich American who was regularly cold-called by supposedly experienced fund salesman, touting the latest investment.

His pitch was this: “Thank you. Now if you would kindly send me details of all your investments for the last few years, and if you’ve done better than me, I’ll let you handle ALL of my investments.”

And you can guess how many fund salesmen took up his offer … none.

Too much like the self-improvement seminar gurus, methinks.

I think the appropriate response to someone who demands that you give 110% is to demand that they stop talking shite.

Strangely it anoys me also when I hear such twoddle as you gotta give 110%! I’ll use thatv reply in future the next percson who says such a comment “per cent means of a hundred, you cannot have one hundred and ten of one hundred…you percentless idiot!” – Oviously I’ll be more tactful won’t I 🙂

Also one thing you constantly drikll into us students is the ability to ‘go first’, if you want someone else to be excited to be excited yourself first, if you want someone else to have a thriving hypnotherapy practise…have one yourself first!
