In reply to <a href="https://adam-eason.com/tablets-tablets-everywhere-and-not-a-self-hypnosis-session-in-sight/#comment-31264">Brian</a>.

Thank you for taking the time to write and say so Brian, good to hear from you.

I know that antibiotics are potentially going to end up obsolete as bugs are resistant to them and a new antibiotic has not been discovered in a long time. GPs and GP surgeries have been attempting to educate patients about antibiotics being unable to treat viruses too, but people turn up expecting to be prescribed some. I think specialist medication prescribed by GPs is something I do not know enough about and am not really qualified to comment much further upon.

What I really wanted to impress here, is that people seem incredibly quick to reach for tablets as a passive solution, an easy solution. They have belief invested in them and they are so readily available online (those tablets that are not available in pharmacies) and the health implications are worrying.

I suspect that pharmaceutical companies dread the day when a methodology or life skill becomes so prevalent that the types of tablets I refer to in this article have the potential to become obsolete too. Though I suspect this is just fanciful thinking on my part.

My very best wishes to you Brian, Adam.

Excellent article Adam,I see a lot of pill popping in my job as a Nurse, but more worrying is the pill prescribing by GP's who don't have enough time to talk and listen to patients, and feel under pressure to prescribe tablets to patients, who want to walk away with a prescription that makes them feel better........I read recently that GP's in the UK are trying to reduce prescriptions for tablets, especially antibiotics, but patient satisfaction scores are also down because people want their pills!!..... I am a big fan Irving Kirsch,he would enjoy this article

Many Thanks

Thanks for taking the time to write and say so Annalise.

More people need to get their backsides to your Hypnocise classes instead of seeking out diet pills!!

Best wishes to you, Adam.

Fantastic article. There is far too much unnecessary pill popping these days and we seem to be brainwashed into thinking it is the only way to help us achieve certain goals such as pain relief and weight loss.
