I have only recently managed to catch a snippet of the show and I too was saddened to see Schofield attached to such misinformed rubbish. In my practice, I already need to spend a great deal of time dispelling the myths a client may have of hypnosis but over the last ten years my client’s have been far more informed. The outdated assumptions that I was would click my fingers and they’d be zapped into a zombified trance were few and far between, but since the show has been on I have noticed an increase in such myths and misconceptions. What a shame that such a show can harm the progress made is common perceptions of hypnotherapy.
