I did a lot of acting growing up and it was part of my degree. I was once told to grow stubble for a week for a part I was playing. I did and when I got to opening night, they told me I didn’t look manly enough and they were going to have to paint some stubble on. Yeah, imagine how manly I felt that night. Makeup is never a good thing for a bloke.
