Thanks for your contribution Mike.

In reply to <a href="https://adam-eason.com/deriving-enjoyment-from-life-through-fear/#comment-17289">Dave</a>.

I appreciate your candour Dave... And am delighted todays blog was useful for you.

Hope the training goes well from here onwards and the next triathlon, you learn even more... On my first ever half marathon, I naively ran 6 minute miles for the first three miles. I boffed up in a hedge and walked the next mile. Then jogged in pain for the remainder and had to be driven home. Learnt loads from that, and doesn't half make the well planned and considered races all the more sweeter.

Good hearing from you, as always.

I attempted my first triathlon yesterday, sure that I was invincible and unstoppable, until the cornish atlantic taught me some respect, and I ended up being rescued. Having spent this morning licking my wounds convinced i'm a failure etc, I read this. .isn't serendipity wonderful. Thank you.

That last post was by me Adam - I was still logged in dealing with the members admin stuff which is why it appeared to be posted by Members.

Now to see if Andy Murray can scale the heights and make us happy today.

The England cricket result after that match was the perfect tonic.

Exactly as you say Adam the tension and closeness at the end when real fear of coming unstuck after appearing to be romping it was the reason why the result made me so happy.

Hey I follow Arsenal - so how happy will I be when they finally walk all over Man U and Chelsea this coming season. Well - my imagination makes me happy.

Good one on a lovely sunny morning Adam.
