They definitely liked the idea of flexibility too!

My grand plan now is breaking of old habits (even small things like sitting in a different chair!) and making new and better ones. It will be a mishmash of techniques from all over the place I think. And my remaining chocolate will be staying in the box that is far out of my reach.... Also think I'll concentrate on the aftermath of eating too much...in much the same way that thinking of how rotten I feel the morning after can make me switch from champagne to Sprite on a night out :-)

Pleasure as always Adam...

In reply to <a href="https://adam-eason.com/binge-eating-creatures-of-hypnotic-habits-are-we/#comment-4668">Gráinne</a>.

Thanks for that Gráinne,

That is interesting... Lots of the incorporating of new habitual behaviours and processes throughout our day is something I often include in my clients' weight reduction programmes in addition to the hypnosis.

Helps to create a flexible mindset, a change in behaviour and ultimately... Healthier habits.

Looking forward to hearing about your trailblazing! :-)

Best wishes, Adam.

Interesting! And good timing....today being my day to cut the chocolate and the pounds. Put all my chocolate securely out of reach yesterday to avoid any accidental eating :-) The habit thing is interesting. There's a book called The No Diet Diet and their basic premise was that most of what we eat is because of "habit webs"-you always do everything the same way....and get into patterns of eating the same way. Their technique is to change your everyday routine bit by bit....and you then change how you eat. Apparently!
