I think marketing can be conducted in a way that serves people and is ethical and professional at the same time as presenting the marketing message. As long as we are coming from the right place with it, then it can be an extension of what we do and who we are.

That’s some great advice Adam. I still think that a LOT of Hypnotists have a disconnect in regards to business.

Most hypnotists try to avoid marketing themselves, because marketing is bad and icky.

I agree and I like that analogy. Making a powerful imprint upon someone by giving them extraordinary experiences and brilliant therapy is so important yet seems to be rather low down on the priorities of ‘marketing gurus’ in this and related fields.

Thanks so much Adam, brilliant post especially bashing the impotent word “nice”. If I invited someone for dinner and asked how they liked everything and they said “it was nice” I’d be pretty disappointed. Awesome, astonishing, remarkable, memorable, that’s what I shoot for whether it’s dinner or working with clients.
